Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Mclovin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rent a Wreck. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
33 - 23 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jack Clark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Mclovin! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clark lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Mclovin misses with a left hand and Clark counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Clark cracks Mclovin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Mclovin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Mclovin throws out a leg kick but Clark moves out of range and Mclovin only half commits. We've been told by Clark's head coaches at Demon's Elite Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Mclovin walks into a jab. Mclovin misses with a right hand and Clark cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. This has been an exciting period of action! Clark lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Donk. Mclovin catches Clark right on the button with a cross. Clark jabbing away but nothing is landing. Clark clobbers Mclovin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Clark on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Mclovin slips a straight right by Clark. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mclovin just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mclovin closes the distance and pushes Clark back into the cage. Clark lands a left hand that snaps the head of Mclovin backwards. Mclovin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mclovin lands a head shot. Mclovin might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Mclovin connects with a body shot that sends Clark's belly button to the back. Clark rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Clark scores with a nice head shot. Mclovin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Clark paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mclovin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mclovin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Clark has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Clark and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Clark swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Clark will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on John Mclovin's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Clark throws a big counter combination but Mclovin scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Clark defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mclovin. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Clark. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Clark, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
