The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helm throws a shot from downtown. Weight moves away and avoids it.
Helm avoids the body shot from Weight.
Helm misses with a body shot.
Weight appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Helm throws a right hand that Weight ducks under and follows up with a left that Weight also avoids with ease.
Weight cracks Helm with an open hand slap.
James Helm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Weight throws a jab but it's blocked by Helm.
Helm moves out of range as Weight strikes.
Weight takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Weight misses with a hook.
Helm misses with a hook.
Helm throws a right hand that Weight ducks under and follows up with a left that Weight also avoids with ease.
Weight lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Helm misses with a looping right.
Weight connects with the punch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Helm loads up on a big right hand but Weight slips the punch.
Weight takes one on the button.
Weight just misses with a punch to the body.
Helm avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Weight is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Helm lands with a cross.
Weight throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Weight misses with an uppercut.
Helm looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Weight fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Helm manages to avoid it.
Helm throws a series of punches but Weight avoids them all with ease.
Weight misses with a right hand
and Helm cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Helm bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Weight's head.
Helm misses with a double jab

and Weight counters by moving into the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Helm.
Nice body punch from Weight.
Helm throws a head punch that misses.
Helm tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Helm throws a punch but it's blocked by Weight.
Weight is leaning against Helm and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Helm misses with a hook from the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Helm swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Weight lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Weight.
Weight lands an elbow inside.


It looks like James Helm has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Weight lands a nice shot to the body.
Weight gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Helm is breathing heavily.
Weight works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Helm misses with a hook from the clinch.
Weight working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.


Helm is rocked!
Weight swings wildly with an uppercut but Helm uses good head movement to avoid it.
Oh Helm is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Weight throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Weight has a couple of punches blocked by Helm.
Helm avoids the elbow strike from Weight, against the cage.
Helm throws a head punch that misses.
Helm misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Helm seems to have got his legs back now.
Helm working aggressively here.
Weight creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Helm! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Weight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). LightHeavy Weight! LightHeavy Weight retains his light heavyweight title!
LightHeavy Weight spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
The defeated James Helm had this to say: 'It's time to get back the gym and grind harder for next time.'.
