Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Rojas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Macari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rojas comes to the cage accompanied by Apaga Mas Não Bate. Rodrigo Rojas has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Rodrigo Rojas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Macari! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macari attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Rojas avoids a punch combination nicely.

We've been hearing reports that Rojas has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Macari is trying to force a seperation but Rojas has the dominant position. Macari throws a head punch that misses. Rojas jumps guard.
Rojas seems keen to control Macari's posture. Rojas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Macari is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rojas isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Macari stacks Rojas on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Macari!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rojas is looking for a sweep. Rojas can't do much from the bottom here. Macari is looking to take a break and control but Rojas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Macari tries to keep at a distance but Rojas has taken the fight into the clinch. Macari is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Macari successfully pulls guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rojas wants to control from the top but Macari keeps moving. Macari has control of Rojas's left arm, preventing Rojas from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rodrigo Rojas will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Rojas is thwarting Macari's attempts to control the position. Macari is controlling Rojas's trapped leg to prevent Rojas from advancing to side control. Rojas wants to free his trapped foot but Macari is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Macari trying to control but Rojas postures up.
Macari is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Rojas is staying active. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Rojas with the ground and pound but Macari uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Rojas gets control of Macari's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rojas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Rojas keeping full guard, as Macari tries to pass. Macari is looking to work some ground and pound but Rojas has wrist control. Macari throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Macari gets tackled into the cage by Rojas. Rojas maintains the clinch. Rojas manages to pull guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Macari is pushing down on Rojas's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rojas is fighting to maintain full guard but Macari has managed to sneak the leg through. Rojas is looking to control Macari's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rojas avoid being mounted? Macari is taking a breather. Rojas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Rojas is not content to let Macari control the position. Macari throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Rojas is staying active underneath Macari, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rojas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Macari can do to turn this around? Macari seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rojas actively working from the bottom here. Rojas wants to control but Macari is keeping busy.

Macari throws a big elbow that misses. Macari content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Rojas has locked up a guillotine! Rojas's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Macari is holding on here and Rojas must be using up a lot of energy. Macari has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Rojas gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
