Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nigel McHughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Macadam Baird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McHughes comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome To My Hood. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McHughes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
McHughes fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
McHughes looks to land a left hand but Baird moved out of range nicely.
Baird ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McHughes moves away.
McHughes throws the left hand but Baird avoids the punch easily.
McHughes leaves Baird with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

McHughes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Baird.

We've been hearing good reports from McHughes's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that Nigel McHughes will probably get the nod.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Baird wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McHughes, who protects the arm well.
Baird tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for McHughes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
