The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiiruna works Shoyoroll's body with a nice hook.
Kiiruna cracks a nice hook into Shoyoroll's ribs.
Shoyoroll misses with a looping right.
Kiiruna is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Xande Shoyoroll has been cut.

Shoyoroll walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Shoyoroll shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kiiruna is trying to defend but Shoyoroll finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Kiiruna tries to kick Shoyoroll off but Shoyoroll keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Shoyoroll tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kiiruna knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Shoyoroll looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Kiiruna has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kimmo Kiiruna is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Shoyoroll counters with a takedown into side control.

Kiiruna lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Kiiruna stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shoyoroll is looking to control Kiiruna's arms but Kiiruna gets an underhook and turns him. Now Shoyoroll has his back to the cage.

Kiiruna lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Kiiruna works on Shoyoroll's body with a couple of short punches.
Shoyoroll tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kiiruna smiles and moves away.
A jab from Shoyoroll misses.
Kiiruna throws a big counter combination but Shoyoroll scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Nice cross by Kiiruna.
Shoyoroll on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Kiiruna missing with a left hand there. Shoyoroll was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Shoyoroll uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kiiruna.
Shoyoroll gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That has opened up Xande Shoyoroll's cut even more.
Shoyoroll scores with a sloppy right hand. Kiiruna should have avoided that one.
Kiiruna jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kiiruna's jab looks to have found its range, popping Shoyoroll under the eye.
Shoyoroll is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shoyoroll switches off momentarily and Kiiruna cracks him with a monster right hand! Shoyoroll topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Kiiruna dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Kiiruna!
