Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Friedrich Nietzsche!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bedorf closes the distance and clinches up with Nietzsche, looking for a takedown. Bedorf pushes Nietzsche against the cage but Nietzsche circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bedorf takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nietzsche keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nietzsche lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bedorf's sensitive parts.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bedorf.
Nietzsche tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Bedorf moves into range and clinches up with Nietzsche.

Bedorf pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nietzsche shoots in but Bedorf avoids the takedown attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nietzsche gets tackled into the cage by Bedorf. Bedorf maintains the clinch.
Nietzsche is trying to break free.

Bedorf tries to work over Nietzsche's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Bedorf blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Nietzsche has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Nietzsche wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bedorf comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Nietzsche on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Bedorf could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A frustrated look appears on Nietzsche's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Bedorf decides to pull guard.

Bedorf throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Bedorf is pulling down on Nietzsche's head. It's preventing any offense from Nietzsche, at least for the moment.

Nietzsche got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bedorf has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nietzsche has managed to get both his arms back between Bedorf's legs - danger averted.

Nietzsche drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bedorf dives on top into guard.

Nietzsche working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bedorf doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bedorf manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bedorf gets to his feet. Nietzsche looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Horrible takedown attempt by Bedorf or perhaps it was just good defense by Nietzsche, which made it look bad.

Nietzsche throws a sloppy head kick and Bedorf moves out of range easily.
Bedorf misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bedorf is breathing heavily.
Bedorf stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Nietzsche.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
and Nietzsche counters with an inside leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nietzsche thows a body kick. Bedorf tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Bedorf tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nietzsche lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Nietzsche misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That kick from Nietzsche tenderised Bedorf's leg. Bedorf is trying to keep his angry face on.
A slapping leg kick lands for Nietzsche.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Friedrich Nietzsche dominated that round.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Nietzsche moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Nietzsche, right into the meat.
Nietzsche misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bedorf.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Nietzsche - that will leave a mark!
Nietzsche throws a head kick that half lands.
Nietzsche tries a head kick but it misses.
Nietzsche looks to land a body kick but Bedorf moved away.
That kick from Nietzsche tenderised Bedorf's leg. Bedorf is trying to keep his angry face on.

Friedrich Nietzsche seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Nietzsche throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bedorf's head.

Bedorf has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Nietzsche.
