The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pamaus misses with a hook. Brent ducked under it nicely.
Brent moves away from the strike by Pamaus.
Brent is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Pamaus doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Pamaus loads up on a big right hand but Brent slips the punch.
Brent tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Aimo Pamaus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pamaus drops his hands momentarily and Brent takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Pamaus lands a head kick. Brent smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
That kick from Pamaus tenderised Brent's leg. Brent is trying to keep his angry face on.

Pamaus throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Pamaus throws a hook but Brent blocks it.

so Brent counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Brent is looking to work some ground and pound but Pamaus has wrist control.

Brent lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Pamaus has his foot on Brent's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brent works his way back into a safe position though.

Pamaus misses with an uppercut. Brent saw that one coming.
Brent gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pamaus fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brent has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Pamaus misses with the body kick
and Brent counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pamaus won't be happy with that.
Brent advances nicely into full mount.
Brent has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pamaus wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
