Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ground Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prickly Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ground Pound! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Prickly Pete! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pete shoots in and bounces Pound off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Pete gets to his feet. Pound looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Pound with a poor takedown and Pete counters with a big head kick but Pound shrugs it off. Pound avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pete tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pound swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pete swinging wilding here.
Pound scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Pete fails with the takedown and Pound counters with a takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pete on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Pound creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

You can see the frustration on Pete's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pound cracks Pete with a big elbow. Pound lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Pound lands an elbow. Pete is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pound's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Pound looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Pete looks gassed! Pound lands strikes from half guard. Pound is nestled in close to Pete, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pound looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Pound looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pete with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Pete is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pound lands a big elbow - Pete is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Pound!
