Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Feta Kuli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Feta Kuli has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Feta Kuli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Edward Kelly! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuli uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kelly. Kuli scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kelly doesn't seem bothered though. Kelly showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kuli.
Kelly tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kuli swivels and escapes. Kuli throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kuli misses with a looping right. Kuli swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kelly cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Feta Kuli has been cut. Kuli shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. And Kelly tries to counter it with a takedown but Kuli pushes his down on his head and steps out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kelly tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kuli sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kelly somewhat. Kelly shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kuli attempts a counter takedown but Kelly avoids it well and moves away. Feta Kuli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edward Kelly. Kuli shoots in and bounces Kelly off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly can't keep his opponent in guard - Kuli advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kelly is not content to let Kuli control the position. Kuli has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kuli working Kelly over with strikes. Kelly is trying to get back to full guard. Kelly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuli. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kuli seems to be working for a kimura but Kelly defends the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kelly is trying to get back to full guard. Kuli will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kuli works his foot free and advances to mount. Kuli sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Kuli lands with some strikes. Kuli breaks from Kelly's wrist control and lands an elbow. Kuli lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kelly hang on?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuli wants to control the action but instead Kelly gets a body lock and reverses into Kuli's guard! Nice work! Kelly won't allow Kuli to sweep him here. Kelly is sitting in close to Kuli's body. Kuli has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kelly is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kelly is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kuli.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Feta Kuli! Feta Kuli decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
