Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between James McGuiness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Phaan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, James McGuiness! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Phaan! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phaan is looking to clinch but McGuiness is avoiding it.
Phaan throws a head kick that McGuiness semi-blocks.
It looks like James McGuiness has been cut. A punch combination from McGuiness misses. McGuiness connects with an inside leg kick. Phaan tries to clinch but McGuiness moves away and McGuiness counters with a series of strikes. Phaan will be more careful next time no doubt. A good leg kick by McGuiness. McGuiness checks a leg kick nicely. Phaan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Phaan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Phaan. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGuiness cracks Phaan with a good jab. Phaan moves out of range of the strikes. McGuiness misses with a hook. Phaan ducked under it nicely. McGuiness jabs Phaan right on the nose. Phaan blinks but takes it well. Phaan tries to clinch but McGuiness moves out of range. Jab from McGuiness. A lazy left from McGuiness finds it's target. Phaan is looking to clinch but McGuiness is avoiding it.
A low kick from Phaan misses and McGuiness counters with a nice uppercut that drops Phaan onto his backside! Phaan bounces straight back to his feet before we have a chance to even start the count. He'll get the standing 8 count anyway before we get back underway.
Phaan is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. McGuiness lands a nice hook to Phaan's body. Phaan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Phaan tries to clinch but McGuiness moves away and McGuiness counters with a straight right that drops Phaan to the canvas! Will Phaan beat the count? He's still wobbly and as the count reaches 7, he's still struggling to make it. 8...9...10. He's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). James McGuiness! James McGuiness decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
