Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nyuma Kumbukani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Cookers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Cookers's choice of entrance music: Rainbow. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kumbukani is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Horrible takedown attempt by Cookers or perhaps it was just good defense by Kumbukani, which made it look bad.
Nyuma Kumbukani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rocky Cookers.
Cookers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kumbukani moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kumbukani throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cookers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kumbukani tries to avoid it but Cookers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kumbukani to the ground. Kumbukani escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kumbukani.

Cookers has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kumbukani uses from the top position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rocky Cookers dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Rocky Cookers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cookers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kumbukani's waist but Kumbukani gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cookers off to one side.

Nice straight punches there by Kumbukani. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kumbukani.
Cookers has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
