Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Xervex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Dare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xervex comes to the cage accompanied by target=blank>No easy way out. Alejandro Xervex has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alejandro Xervex! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jared Dare! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dare throws a looping overhand right but Xervex ducks down to avoid it. Dare throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Xervex's waist but Xervex gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dare off to one side. Dare tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Xervex circles away from the clinch attempt.
No luck for Xervex with that takedown attempt. Xervex avoids the head kick by Dare.
Xervex fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Dare fails with the takedown and Xervex counters with a takedown into side control. Xervex prevents Dare from escaping the position. You can see the frustration on Dare's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Xervex stands up and we're back to a striking position. Dare misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dare clinches but Xervex breaks the clinch so Xervex counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Dare looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Xervex not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Xervex prevents Dare from getting back to his feet. Dare looks gassed! Dare looking to control.
Xervex drops back looking for a leg! Dare is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dare manages to kick Xervex off! Xervex jumps back into Dare's guard. Xervex stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dare swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dare keeping moving, preventing Xervex from controlling successfully. Dare is controlling Xervex's posture.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dare avoids a kick to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dare throws a sloppy head kick and Xervex counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dare's guard now. Xervex won't allow Dare to sweep him here. Xervex gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Dare tries to clinch but fails miserably and Xervex counters with a nice double leg into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dare looking to hit a scissor sweep but Xervex is one step ahead there. Dare is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Xervex stops Dare from standing up. Dare has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Xervex has passed into side control.
Xervex has knee on belly and moves into mount. Xervex looking to control but Dare is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alejandro Xervex dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Xervex tries to pull guard but Dare won't allow it.
Dare lands an elbow just above Xervex 's eye.
It looks like Alejandro Xervex has been cut. Xervex tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Dare using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Xervex can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alejandro Xervex. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dare breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Xervex decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dare is trying to control but Xervex passes into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dare wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here. Xervex trying to control the action but Dare is working from the bottom. Dare manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dare stalling. Xervex wants to get back to full guard. Xervex is refusing to be controlled, as Dare sits in half guard. Dare is pressing down on Xervex's thigh, looking to free his foot. Xervex is holding on for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dare drops an elbow to the side of Xervex's head. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dare in particular looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dare stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Xervex to get to his feet. Dare rushes Xervex and presses him up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dare keeps control of Xervex as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Dare is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Xervex gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Dare lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Xervex has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dare is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Xervex goes for a takedown attempt but Dare pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dare throws a head kick that Xervex semi-blocks.
A head kick misses from Dare. Xervex shoots for a double leg takedown but Dare sprawls well. He's pushed Xervex's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dare cracks Xervex with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Dare gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Xervex counters with a takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Alejandro Xervex will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Alejandro Xervex's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Dare shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Xervex as he avoids it easily. Dare wants to clinch up but Xervex keeps it at a distance. Dare tries to clinch up. Dare tries to close the distance and clinch up but Xervex swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dare tries to clinch but Xervex is having none of it. A combination from Xervex does no damage. Dare has managed to clinch.
Xervex takes an elbow to the forehead. Xervex is trying to drag Dare to the mat but Dare just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Dare trying to land knees to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Xervex stops a takedown attempt from Dare.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dare is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Xervex gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Alejandro Xervex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jared Dare.
That's one minute gone in the round. Xervex has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dare clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Xervex avoiding Dare 's attempts to control his hands. Good control from Xervex. You can see the frustration on Dare's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dare is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Dare breaks Xervex's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Xervex trying to keep a closed guard but Dare is proving a slippery customer.
Dare trying to control but Xervex is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A head kick by Dare misses and Xervex counters by moving into the clinch. Xervex is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Dare avoiding damage.
Dare gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Xervex wants a takedown but no success here.
Xervex has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dare avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Xervex tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dare smiles and moves away.
Alejandro Xervex is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dare keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dare tries to clinch and Xervex moves into the clinch. Dare escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Xervex has a takedown stuffed. Dare closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Xervex to the mat! Xervex manages to get full guard. Dare tries to stand but Xervex is controlling from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Xervex has his foot on Dare's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dare works his way back into a safe position though. Dare stands up from Xervex's guard - Dare perhaps looking for a knockout. Xervex shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dare but Dare pushes him off and we're back to square one. Dare feints and as Xervex raises his hands in defense, Dare changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Dare gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Jared Dare comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Xervex has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
