And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nove manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Joan on his heels. He'll look to pass Joan's guard now, I'm sure.
Nove is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Joan trying to keep a closed guard but Nove is proving a slippery customer.
Nove is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Joan is trying to keep Nove in close.
Nove advances position into side control!
A lull in the action here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nove cracks Joan with a big elbow.
Joan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nove. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nove working the ground and pound.

Joan tries to improve position but can't.
Nove is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Joan will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Nove has an Americana. Joan didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Nove is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Nove hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
