Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Nisk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Yoel Lordero! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lordero gets in close and instigates a clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. The referee calls for Lordero to work.
Lordero gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nisk has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Lordero doesn't defend quickly enough and Nisk has managed to lock this one up! Can Lordero escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Nisk on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Mike Nisk! Mike Nisk took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I want to thank DX, my grappling schools, and everyone else in life that gave me a shot at this. The time is now. I won't let you down.'. The defeated Yoel Lordero had this to say: 'No excuses. He was better than me.'.
