Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Aguilar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rico Matthews Cross! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cross looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Aguilar avoids a punch combination nicely.

Cross looks to land a combination but Aguilar avoids it well. Cross throws a nice looking combination but Aguilar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A quick step to the side and Aguilar tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Cross tries to bum rush Aguilar with a series of wild strikes but Aguilar uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Aguilar appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Rico Matthews Cross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cross throws a series of strikes that have Aguilar backpedaling.
Cross stalks Aguilar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Aguilar's face. Aguilar staggers backwards, shaken. Cross will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cross throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cross shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Aguilar eats them both and turns towards Cross to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Cross scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
That's one minute gone in the round. Aguilar has managed to clinch.
Aguilar has Cross pressed against the cage, preventing Cross from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Cross wants to break the clinch but can't.

Cross throws a right hand that Aguilar ducks under and follows up with a left that Aguilar also avoids with ease. Cross throws a series of punches but Aguilar moves out of range. Aguilar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cross napping and manages to drive through into side control! Aguilar is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Cross struggling a bit here. Cross looks winded! Aguilar in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. This has been an exciting period of action! Aguilar in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cross wants to control but Aguilar postures up. Aguilar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cross has escaped the position, nice work there. Cross takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Aguilar throws an elbow but Cross slips to the side and avoids it well. A lull in the action here as Aguilar stalls from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aguilar lands some shots froms side control. A control attempt from Cross but he's now mounted! Aguilar sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Aguilar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Aguilar seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cross for as long as he can get away with. Aguilar really is a fat lump. Aguilar in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Cross is trying to reverse the position but instead Aguilar has taken his back - oops! Cross wants to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aguilar really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Cross. Aguilar throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Cross!
Aguilar lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Cross hold on?!

Cross trying to control the action but Aguilar just sinks the hooks in. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cross looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. It looked like Aguilar was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Aguilar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cross circles away quickly and effectively. Cross throws a right hand that Aguilar ducks under and follows up with a left that Aguilar also avoids with ease. Aguilar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cross's waist but Cross gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aguilar off to one side. Cross misses with a two punch combination.
Cross swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Cross, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cross throws a series of punches but Aguilar moves out of range. Cross misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

And Aguilar counters with a quick kick to the body but Cross blocks it. Cross falls off balance throwing a combination
and Aguilar counters with a two punch combo. Cross is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aguilar rushes Cross and presses him up against the cage. Cross looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Aguilar jumps guard.
Cross being controlled here momentarily. Aguilar uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Aguilar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cross on his heels. He'll look to pass Cross's guard now, I'm sure. Aguilar is in close to Cross's body, working some short punches and elbows. Aguilar postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Aguilar scoring with some ground and pound. Aguilar throwing strikes from guard but Cross blocks nicely. Aguilar won't allow Cross to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aguilar decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Aguilar misses with a wild body shot. Aguilar wants to clinch. Aguilar lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cross backs up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sloppy strikes from Aguilar. Those never looked like landing. Aguilar fails in his attempt to clinch. Cross misses with a wild combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aguilar gets a double leg takedown into Cross's guard. Cross working a defensive guard but Aguilar manages to pass into side control anyway.
Aguilar in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Aguilar connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Cross some visible discomfort.

Aguilar in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Cross is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
