Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Cart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Stefan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stefan has chosen Onward to Victory as his entrance music. Hector Stefan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mario Cart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hector Stefan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Cart blocks the low kick.
Cart fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Stefan on the side of the head.
Stefan misses with a wild body shot.
Stefan motions for Cart to come forward. Stefan throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Stefan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Stefan moves out of range of the strikes.
Cart steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Stefan. That one must have hurt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cart. Stefan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Stefan's coach down at Darkness (B613) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Stefan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Stefan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cart.
Stefan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cart throws out a loose jab but Stefan uses good head movement to avoid it.

Cart has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Stefan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Cart was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Cart fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stefan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cart takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cart throws a hook to the side of Stefan's head but Stefan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cart misses with a left hand
and Stefan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Cart closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Cart thows a left - swing and a miss!
Stefan connects with a body shot that sends Cart's belly button to the back.
Stefan moves away from the strike by Cart.
Stefan scores with a jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Stefan, as that shot connected.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cart thuds his right hand into Stefan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Stefan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Cart misses the jab.
Cart throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cart keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cart on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Stefan. Stefan obviously looking to wear him down.

Cart throws the left hand but Stefan avoids the punch easily.

Stefan attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Mario Cart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stefan stuns Cart with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Cart tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stefan was well out of range. Poor timing from Cart.
Stefan throws a nice looking combination but Cart bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Stefan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Stefan lands a left and a right that send Cart crashing to the mat, dazed. Stefan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Cart is rocked!
Stefan misses with a low kick as Cart jumps back.
Oh Cart is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stefan throws a body kick that misses.
Stefan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cart.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stefan throws a push kick but Cart slaps the foot to one side.
Stefan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cart seems to have got his legs back now.
Stefan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Cart connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Stefan appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Stefan misses with a looping right.
Stefan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Stefan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Stefan throws a right and a left that Cart avoids nicely.
Cart with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stefan to score with a decent uppercut.
Stefan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cart stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cart uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stefan has time to react.

Stefan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hector Stefan dominated that round.

Cart throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Stefan on the side of the head.

Cart swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Oooooh!!! Stefan has knocked Cart down with a huge combo! Stefan steps away and waves a wobbly Cart back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stefan throws a sloppy head kick and Cart moves out of range easily.
Stefan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Cart might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Cart takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Cart throws a body shot but no joy.
Stefan cracks Cart with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Cart tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Stefan pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Cart is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hector Stefan!
During a confident post fight interview, Hector Stefan thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
