Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Brewster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darrell Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brewster's entrance music is Bodies. A fine choice. Abbott has chosen Drag the waters - Pantera as his entrance music. Barry Brewster has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Barry Brewster! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darrell Abbott! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brewster slips a straight right by Abbott. Brewster ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Abbott moves away. Brewster fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Abbott looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Nice body punch from Abbott. Abbott fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Brewster blocks a jab. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Abbott has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Brewster lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Abbott circles away quickly and effectively. Abbott moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Brewster swings for the body but Abbott moves out of range.
Brewster misses the shot to the body. Abbott tries to clinch but Brewster is having none of it. Brewster throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Abbott misses the shot to the body. Brewster takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Abbott avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brewster misses with a left hand and Abbott counters with a straight right hand. Abbott ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brewster moves away. Brewster avoids the body shot from Abbott.
Brewster throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Abbott throws out a counter right but Brewster avoids it with no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abbott throws an overhand right that lands on Brewster's shoulder, as Brewster tries to avoid the shot. Brewster has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Brewster scores with a punch to the head.
It looks like Darrell Abbott has been cut. Brewster throws a body punch but Abbott moves out of range. Abbott throws a left and a right that both miss
and Brewster makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Brewster throws a right hand that Abbott ducks under and follows up with a left that Abbott also avoids with ease. It seemed like Abbott was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Brewster avoids the body shot from Abbott.
Brewster connects with a body shot. Abbott pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Brewster misses with a right hand and Abbott counters with a lovely straight right hand! Brewster keeps the fight on the outside. Decent striking displayed by Brewster there. Barry Brewster is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Abbott moves away from the strike by Brewster. Brewster misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Abbott.

Abbott fails with a takedown attempt. It looked like Brewster wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brewster circles away from the clinch attempt.
A cross from Abbott lands. Brewster avoids the body shot from Abbott.
Abbott will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brewster pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Abbott back to the cage. Brewster follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Brewster looks to score with a jab to the body but Abbott is just out of range. Barry Brewster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brewster keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Brewster steps into range and cracks Abbott with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Abbott flops backwards and Brewster dives into his guard looking to finish!
Abbott is rocked! Brewster postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Abbott covers up, he's hurt! Brewster keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Brewster and the ref steps in to end the fight! Brewster can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barry Brewster! Barry Brewster retains his super heavyweight title! Barry Brewster decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
