Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Berns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Duim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mauricio Berns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Danny Duim!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duim scores with a hook to the body. Berns takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Berns gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Duim counters with a stiff right hand.
Berns with a lazy takedown attempt
and Duim counters with a series of strikes. Berns will be more careful next time no doubt.
Berns fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Duim manages to avoid it.
Berns misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Duim unleashes a big counter combination but Berns bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauricio Berns. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Duim scores with a jab to the jaw.
Berns is rocked!
Duim buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Berns doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Duim counters with a nice body shot.
Mauricio Berns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Berns has his takedown stuffed
and Duim counters with a straight right hand.
Oh Berns is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Berns is trying to drag Duim to the mat but Duim just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Berns seems to have got his legs back now.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Berns's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Duim is defending well against a takedown attempt.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Duim unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Duim is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Berns shoots for a double leg takedown but Duim sprawls well. He's pushed Berns's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Duim lands a left hand that snaps the head of Berns backwards.

Duim unloads a knee to the mid-section. Berns lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Duim lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Duim lands an uppercut.
Berns drops down looking for an ankle pick but Duim pulls his leg out and moves away.
Berns closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Berns shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Duim counters with a nice uppercut.
Berns with a lazy takedown attempt
and Duim counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Berns badly! He tries to strike back but Duim puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Berns out cold! Oh man, Berns will never hear the end of this one!
