Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Khalid Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Riccuito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hayes comes to the cage accompanied by Flight of Icarus. Mark Riccuito will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riccuito misses with a kick to the body.

Riccuito tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Hayes was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Riccuito drives through and clinches with Hayes against the cage.
Riccuito pushes off an throws an elbow but Hayes leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Riccuito looks winded!
Riccuito is pressed up against the cage. Hayes has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Riccuito down to the mat. Riccuito avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hayes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Riccuito tries to avoid it but Hayes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Riccuito to the ground. Riccuito escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Khalid Hayes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Riccuito tries to keep at a distance but Hayes has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hayes has Riccuito pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hayes pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Riccuito tumbling to the mat - Hayes dives into Riccuito's guard.

Hayes tries to land a front kick but Riccuito steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Riccuito has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Riccuito lands a good knee to the midsection. Hayes won't want to take too many of those.

Hayes has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Riccuito after a bit of a struggle.

Riccuito chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hayes can pounce on him.
Hayes throws a leg kick but Riccuito sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Hayes darts in looking for a takedown but Riccuito gets double underhooks and turns Hayes into the cage.

Riccuito cracks the inside of Hayes's front leg.
Hayes throws the kick towards the body but Riccuito avoids it.
Hayes throws a shot from downtown. Riccuito moves away and avoids it.

Riccuito stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hayes.
Riccuito looks to land a body kick but Hayes moved away.
Riccuito throws a front kick that sends Hayes stumbling back into the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hayes does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Riccuito will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Oh Hayes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mark Riccuito seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Riccuito lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Hayes to his knees! Riccuito keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
