Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wojtek Dur!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Miller!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dur does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Miller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dur manages to avoid it.
Dur gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Miller counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dur won't be happy with that.
Miller has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Dur is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Miller yanks on the arm and Dur is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Miller.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jake Miller!
A pretty intense looking Jake Miller took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
