2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edward McManis! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kronwall ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Kronwall misses with a jab, cross combination.
McManis moves into range and clinches up with Kronwall. Kronwall misses with a body punch.
Kronwall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kronwall has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Fight Club in the buildup to the fight. McManis shoots in but Kronwall avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kronwall is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from McManis. McManis darts in and clinches Kronwall up against the cage. McManis is looking for a takedown. Kronwall lands a right hand. Kronwall scores with a nice hook to the head. Kronwall lands a body punch. McManis dodges an elbow strike from Kronwall.
McManis misses with a knee to the head. McManis has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kronwall avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. McManis's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Kronwall throws a punch but it's blocked by McManis. Kronwall swings wildly with an uppercut but McManis uses good head movement to avoid it. Kronwall lands an uppercut. Kronwall is struggling to control the position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kronwall has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics McManis uses from the top position. Kronwall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kronwall tries to get out of the position.

Kronwall wants to stand and escape but McManis is having none of it. Kronwall manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McManis manages to get himself to full guard.
McManis looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kronwall puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Kronwall prevents McManis from improving his position. McManis trying to hold on to Kronwall's head to control him but Kronwall postures up.
McManis has his hands clasped together around Kronwall's back. He's all about the action. McManis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kronwall's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kronwall's back!

Kronwall trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. McManis throws strikes from the back but Kronwall rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Kronwall. McManis throws a strike but Kronwall rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. McManis has a closed guard, preventing Kronwall from standing up. McManis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. McManis trying to control the position.

He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kronwall's guard. Kronwall has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. McManis has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McManis is rocked! Kronwall makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. McManis is still on wobbly legs! Can Kronwall finish him? Kronwall lands with a short shot to the head. Kronwall creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends McManis's eyes rolling into the back of his head! McManis drops to his knees and Kronwall pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
