Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Iswan Dono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Martell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles Martell is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Iswan Dono! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Charles Martell! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dono swings for the body but Martell moves out of range.
Martell closes the distance and clinches. Martell pulls guard effortlessly. Dono will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dono throwing strikes from guard but Martell blocks nicely. Dono really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dono throws a strike but Martell rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Dono looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Martell controlling from the top position. Dono wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Martell content to stall in guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dono is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dono has escaped and now he's on top!
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Dono connects with a solid leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Martell takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Dono scores with a three punch combo!
Dono checks a low kick from Martell. Martell dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Iswan Dono seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A looping hook to the body misses from Dono. Martell does a little dance to reset his feet. Martell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dono sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Martell somewhat. Martell shoots in looking for a takedown. Dono tries to sprawl out of it but Martell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dono manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Martell drives through and clinches with Dono against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Martell displaying some good clinch control by pressing Dono up against the cage. Dono definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Dono has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Martell avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Dono has Martell pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Martell manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Martell jumps guard and drags Dono to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Dono throws a strike but Martell rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Martell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dono swivels though and keeps the full guard. Martell gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Martell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dono, pushing him back against the cage. Martell is trying to break the clinch but Dono is controlling him. Dono wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Iswan Dono. That's going to take a lot out of him. Martell pulls guard effortlessly. Dono has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dono throws a big elbow that misses. Martell is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dono defends well. Martell seems keen to control Dono's posture. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dono wants to control from the top but Martell keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dono lands a couple of digs. Dono trying to control the position from guard on top but Martell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are working up against the cage. Martell manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Dono is trying to pull guard but Martell turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Martell is trying to force a seperation but Dono has the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martell lands with a short punch from the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Martell has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Dono is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Martell has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dono uses from the top position. Martell managing to control the position. Dono working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dono preventing the sweep. Dono trying to control the position from guard on top but Martell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Martell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Martell has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Martell keeping moving, preventing Dono from controlling successfully. Dono missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Martell ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Dono throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Martell counters with a nice uppercut. Iswan Dono is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Martell lands with an overhand left. Martell closes the distance and clinches. Martell wants to break the clinch but can't.

Charles Martell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Martell sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dono's guard. Martell keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Martell wants to work for an arm triangle but Dono is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Martell postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Dono to stand up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dono tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Martell was well out of range. Poor timing from Dono. Martell closes the distance and pushes Dono back into the cage. Martell goes for a takedown attempt but Dono pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Martell shoots in for a takedown but Dono shows good takedown defense. Martell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dono.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dono uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Martell moves into the clinch. Martell gets control of Dono's arms and successfully pulls guard. Martell will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dono throws an elbow that misses. Martell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dono's guard. Nice move by Martell! Dono on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dono tries to get out of the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Martell accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Martell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Martell won't allow Dono to sweep him here. Martell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Dono keeping full guard, as Martell tries to pass. Charles Martell has got the better of the ground game so far. Martell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

and Martell counters by clinching up. Dono is trying to drag Martell to the mat but Martell just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Dono tries to score a body lock takedown but Martell shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Iswan Dono has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Charles Martell is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dono is defending well against a takedown attempt.
