Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Grand Funk Railroad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marlon Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin has chosen "Don't Waste My Time" by Jim Johnston as his entrance music. Marlon Griffin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marlon Griffin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Railroad throws a hook but Griffin avoids it easily.
Griffin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Griffin blocks a head kick by Railroad.
Railroad misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Railroad misses with a body kick.
Griffin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Railroad but Railroad pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Railroad half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Railroad fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Griffin manages to avoid it.

Griffin gets caught flat footed, as Railroad shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Railroad slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Railroad's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Railroad gets to his feet. Griffin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Railroad manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Griffin on his heels. He'll look to pass Griffin's guard now, I'm sure.

Railroad feints and as Griffin raises his hands in defense, Railroad changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Railroad thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Railroad seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Railroad lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Griffin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Railroad controls the pace.
Railroad sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Griffin's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Railroad working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Railroad is taking a breather. Griffin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Railroad is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Griffin has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Griffin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Railroad shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Griffin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Grand Funk Railroad overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Railroad takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Railroad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Griffin defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Railroad.
Griffin is still in real trouble! Can Railroad finish him?

Railroad seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Griffin for as long as he can get away with.

Railroad tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Railroad has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Griffin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Railroad to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Griffin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Railroad is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Marlon Griffin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Griffin seems to have recovered his senses.
Railroad has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well Railroad has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
