Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sheldon Wheedon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Ireland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sheldon Wheedon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bret Ireland! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wheedon shoots in for a takedown but Ireland shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wheedon misses with a body kick. Ireland is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Ireland throws a head kick that misses. Ireland tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wheedon paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wheedon lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Ireland looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wheedon looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Wheedon controlling from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ireland pulls Wheedon in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ireland looking for a sweep. Not yet Ireland, not yet. Wheedon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ireland is proving hard to escape from. Wheedon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ireland really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wheedon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ireland has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Wheedon is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ireland. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ireland is trying to work for a sweep but Wheedon has mounted him! Ireland wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wheedon doesn't have the hooks in and Ireland manages to turn into his guard.

Wheedon is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Ireland presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Ireland tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Wheedon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ireland uses from the top position. Wheedon has Ireland pulled in close to control his posture. Ireland won't allow Wheedon to sweep him here.

Ireland wants to control position but Wheedon is using a can opener to pass guard... He's turned it into a full on guillotine from mount now! Big trouble for Ireland here! He's turning a lovely shade of purple and yep! He's tapping out! I would say world class Jiu Jitsu but is it really? It was nice but let's not get silly about it.
