Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Poe is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Miguel Guerrero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe Poe! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guerrero tries to clinch but Poe is having none of it. Poe closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Guerrero's guard. Guerrero has a closed guard, preventing Poe from standing up. Poe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Poe would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Guerrero pulls Poe in close to prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Poe trying to control but Guerrero is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poe has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Guerrero is proving hard to escape from. Poe prevents Guerrero from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poe drops back looking for a leg! Guerrero is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Guerrero manages to kick Poe off! Poe jumps back into Guerrero's guard. Poe decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Guerrero, up you get! Guerrero blocks a head kick by Poe.
Guerrero drops down looking for a counter takedown but Poe sprawls and moves away. Guerrero really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Guerrero throws a leg kick but Poe checks it. Guerrero throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Poe throws a head kick but Guerrero moves out of range.
Guerrero could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Poe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Guerrero tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Poe manages to circle out of the way. Guerrero throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Guerrero moves into range and clinches up with Poe. Poe working hard to break the clinch. Poe wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Guerrero prevents Poe from breaking the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guerrero jumps guard but Poe stands there with Guerrero around his waist. Guerrero gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Guerrero manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Guerrero trying to control the position.
Poe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Poe postures up in Guerrero's guard and throws a big left but Guerrero blocks it. Guerrero controls Poe momentarily but Poe frees himself. Guerrero looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guerrero throws a right and a left that both miss. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Poe keeps the fight on the outside. Poe tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Poe drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Poe wants to control from the top but Guerrero keeps moving. Guerrero is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Poe kicks Guerrero off and gets back to his feet. Poe gets the takedown into side control. Guerrero is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A lull in the action here as Poe stalls from top position. Guerrero sneaks back into half guard. Poe throwing shots but Guerrero is blocking nicely. Guerrero is defending against the submission attempts here by Poe.
Guerrero wants to control but Poe is keeping busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Guerrero is staying active underneath Poe, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Poe dominated that round. That's time! Guerrero's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Poe closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Guerrero to the mat! Guerrero manages to get full guard. Poe has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Poe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Guerrero working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Poe. Guerrero pulls Poe in to control the position. Guerrero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Poe is one step ahead there. Guerrero is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Poe is looking to stand up but Guerrero won't let him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Guerrero throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Guerrero is looking to clinch but Poe is avoiding it.
Poe lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Guerrero is trying to buck Poe off. Guerrero might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Guerrero is trying to improve his position. Poe decides to stand back up. Poe steps back and let's Guerrero get back to his feet. Poe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Guerrero sprawls well initially but Poe persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Poe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Guerrero does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Guerrero has his hands clasped together around Poe's back. He's all about the action. Poe missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guerrero blocking the ground and pound attempt from Poe. Guerrero is trying to stand up here but Poe is controlling him well. Poe is working for a kimura but Guerrero is defending it quite comfortably.

Poe is trying to control. Guerrero wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Poe drops an elbow to the side of Guerrero's head. Poe seems to be working for a kimura but Guerrero defends the submission attempt. Guerrero is controlling Poe's position as best he can from this difficult position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Guerrero darts in trying to clinch and Poe counters with a left and a right that stings Guerrero.

Poe is trying to force a seperation but Guerrero has the dominant position. A frustrated look appears on Poe's face as he tries to break the clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Guerrero jumps guard but Poe turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Poe is trying to break the clinch but Guerrero has him pressed against the cage. Guerrero tries to pull guard but Poe forces him back to his feet, against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Poe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Joe Poe. I've got Poe winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
