Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elmo Stafford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramsey Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Elmo Stafford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ramsey Snow!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stafford with a lazy takedown attempt

and Snow counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stafford won't be happy with that.
Stafford might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Stafford is looking to regain half guard here but Snow keeps moving and retains side control.
Stafford is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snow trying to control the action but Stafford is working from the bottom.
Stafford is trying to control Snow's posture but Snow avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stafford tries to improve position but can't.
Snow wants to stand but Stafford has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Snow postures up.
Stafford seems keen to control Snow's posture.
Stafford keeping moving, preventing Snow from controlling successfully.
Stafford is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Stafford shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Snow decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stafford's guard.
Stafford trying to keep a closed guard but Snow is proving a slippery customer.
Snow sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stafford's guard.

Stafford is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Snow pulls his head out easily.
Stafford is controlling Snow's trapped leg to prevent Snow from advancing to side control.
Stafford tries to get to full guard but Snow has control of the leg.

Stafford keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Snow wants to control but Stafford is keeping him busy.
Snow is looking to advance position but Stafford won't allow it.
Stafford pushes Snow off looking to stand but Snow dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Snow is trying to control the action in half guard but Stafford is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Stafford goes for a double leg but Snow avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Snow continues to drive forward.
Snow is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

And Snow tries to counter it with a takedown but Stafford pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Stafford darts in looking for a takedown but Snow gets double underhooks and turns Stafford into the cage.
Snow stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Snow wants it to stay on the feet.

Snow closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stafford did well to prevent Snow getting side control.
Snow wants to control but Stafford is keeping him busy.
Stafford could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Snow is looking to stand but Stafford has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Ramsey Snow has got the better of the ground game so far.
Snow wants to control the pace but Stafford is squirming around nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Stafford is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Snow tries to control but Stafford wriggling away.

Snow stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Stafford tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Snow swivels and escapes.
And Snow tries to counter it with a takedown but Stafford pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Elmo Stafford is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stafford will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Stafford shoots for a double leg takedown but Snow sprawls well. He's pushed Stafford's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stafford enables Snow to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stafford manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snow is looking to stand up but Stafford won't let him.

Ramsey Snow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Stafford tries for a takedown. No joy.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Stafford is trying to pull guard but Snow turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Stafford throws a knee to the head but misses.
Stafford is trying to drag Snow to the mat but Snow just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elmo Stafford. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Snow is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Snow works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Stafford has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Snow trying to control the position from guard on top but Stafford is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Snow stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Stafford closes this distance looking for a takedown but Snow circles away.

Stafford tries to keep at a distance but Snow has taken the fight into the clinch.

Snow is trying to trip Stafford. He has hold of a leg but Stafford is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Snow persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Snow wants to get up but he can't break Stafford's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Snow is fighting to break Stafford's control of his arms but Stafford is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Stafford controls Snow momentarily but Snow frees himself.
Snow trying to control but Stafford is working from the bottom.
Snow wants to stand but Stafford is controlling his posture from full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Stafford doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Snow counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Stafford has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Snow is working away from the top position though.

Ramsey Snow comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Snow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
