Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Edward Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blake has chosen Dead Man as his entrance music. William Blake is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Edward Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Blake!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake digs a good hook to Brown's body.
Blake tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brown defends well and Blake ends up having to push Brown into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Brown has managed to clinch.
Brown goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Brown lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Blake or not.
Blake blocks an uppercut.
Blake prevents the takedown attempt.
Blake drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brown pulls his leg out and moves away.
Brown throws an overhand right that lands on Blake's shoulder, as Blake tries to avoid the shot.
It seemed like Blake was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Brown ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Blake gets caught napping as Brown dives in and scores a takedown. Blake manages to retain guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blake wants to work for an arm triangle but Brown is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Brown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blake but Blake pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Blake felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Brown lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well Brown has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
