Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Omar Dijkstra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Knott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dijkstra comes to the cage accompanied by Soulfly - Back To The Primitive. Knott is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kanye West vs. The xx - Touch The Sky (Carlos Serrano Mix) . Buster Knott has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Omar Dijkstra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Buster Knott!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dijkstra throws a head kick that misses.
Dijkstra misses with a double jab.
Knott shoots for a double leg takedown but Dijkstra sprawls well. He's pushed Knott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dijkstra buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Knott enables Dijkstra to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Knott manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Knott wants to get back to his feet but Dijkstra is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Knott pulls Dijkstra in close to his closed guard and prevents Dijkstra from doing any damage or advancing position.

Dijkstra swings around for an armbar but Knott sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dijkstra's guard.

Dijkstra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Knott doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Knott manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dijkstra had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Knott defends it easily.
Knott wants to control from the top but Dijkstra keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dijkstra swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dijkstra wants to sweep here but Knott controlling him for the moment.
Knott connects with a couple of short punches.
Knott won't allow Dijkstra to sweep him here.

Dijkstra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Knott doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Knott manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Knott is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dijkstra sees it coming and defends easily.

Knott thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Knott takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Knott tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dijkstra paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dijkstra stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Knott lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Dijkstra drives through and clinches with Knott against the cage.

Dijkstra breaks the clinch.
Knott tries to clinch but Dijkstra moves out of range.
Dijkstra tries to counter with a takedown but Knott is quick to defend against it.
Dijkstra takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Dijkstra moves out of range as Knott throws a body kick.
Dijkstra lands with a thumping leg kick.

Knott chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dijkstra can pounce on him.
Knott is looking to clinch.
Dijkstra takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Knott throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Knott throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dijkstra stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Dijkstra keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dijkstra misses with a low kick.
Dijkstra swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Knott. Dijkstra does a little dance to reset his feet.
Knott goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Dijkstra throws a sloppy head kick and Knott moves out of range easily.
Knott takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Dijkstra connects with an inside leg kick.
Knott moves out of range as Dijkstra strikes.
Knott wants to land a leg kick but Dijkstra is out of range.
Dijkstra with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Knott to score with a decent uppercut.
Dijkstra throws a head kick but Knott moves out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Dijkstra blocks the leg kick.
Dijkstra takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A thudding body kick lands there by Knott!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Knott tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dijkstra swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Knott digs a good hook to Dijkstra's body.
Dijkstra looks to land a left hand but Knott moved out of range nicely.
Buster Knott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dijkstra takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Dijkstra pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dijkstra thumps Knott with a low kick.
Dijkstra misses with a hook. Knott ducked under it nicely.
Knott throws a body punch but Dijkstra moves out of range.
Knott checks the leg kick.
Knott is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Dijkstra rather than just go for the knockout.

Dijkstra is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Knott can do to turn this around?

Knott throws a jab when Dijkstra was well out of range.
Knott throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dijkstra's waist but Dijkstra gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Knott off to one side.
Dijkstra displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Knott.
Dijkstra lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Dijkstra jabs at Knott's body.
Dijkstra avoids the head kick by Knott.
Knott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Knott is breathing heavily.
Knott misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dijkstra.
Dijkstra thumps Knott with a low kick.

Knott gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Knott is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dijkstra is controlling him.

Dijkstra working over Knott with some ground and pound. Knott looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Dijkstra looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Dijkstra seems to be looking for submissions.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Knott thuds his right hand into Dijkstra's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Knott.

and Knott counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Knott throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dijkstra.

so Dijkstra counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Dijkstra looking to sit in guard and control but Knott gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Knott in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Dijkstra looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Dijkstra is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Knott rolls with it to try and escape but Dijkstra cranks on the arm and Knott is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Omar Dijkstra!
A relieved looking Omar Dijkstra thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Buster Knott spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm young and still have a lot of upside. The same cannot be said of you.'.
