The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrulis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Petrulis walks into a stiff left hand from Speed.
Petrulis throws a right hand that Speed ducks under and follows up with a left that Speed also avoids with ease.
Speed tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Speed shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Petrulis defends it nicely.

Speed has a couple of punches blocked by Petrulis.

Speed jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Petrulis walks away with a smile on his face. Speed gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Speed is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Speed content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Petrulis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
