The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones shoots in and bounces Stjernholm Madsen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stjernholm Madsen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jones is taking a breather. Stjernholm Madsen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Jones is just content to waste time from the top position. Stjernholm Madsen takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Stjernholm Madsen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.


Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stjernholm Madsen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
