Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Socket Extender (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Extender comes to the cage accompanied by BOOM!. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Extender throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Edwards counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Edwards looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Extender with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Edwards escapes and gets back to his feet.
Extender throws a left and a right that both miss

and Edwards counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Extender has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Edwards off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Extender closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Extender misses with a kick to the body

and Edwards counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Edwards.
Edwards tries to free his leg and advance position but Extender is retaining full guard.
Extender wants to stand but Edwards is controlling the position.

Edwards drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Edwards jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Edwards drops back, looking for a kneebar! Extender looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Extender looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Extender!
Extender throws an elbow but Edwards slips to the side and avoids it well.

Edwards parries the strikes from Extender easily there. Extender is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Edwards to escape.

Extender working the strikes but Edwards uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Extender knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Edwards on the ground.
Extender throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Edwards to regain full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Edwards pushes Extender off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Extender shoots in and drives through. Edwards sprawls well.
