The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devoya misses with a series of wild punches.
Wilson throws the kick towards the body but Devoya avoids it.

Wilson has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Devoya seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Wilson can turn it around.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Devoya displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wilson throws out the jab.
Wilson throws a hook to the side of Devoya's head but Devoya sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jerry Devoya.
I think Wilson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
