Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marco Robles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Williams Hank!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hank dives in for a single leg takedown but Robles sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Robles tries to counter by clinching up but Hank breaks away and moves out of range.

Hank gets a double leg takedown into Robles's guard.
Hank throws an elbow that misses. Robles uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hank's guard. Nice move by Robles!

Robles wants to stand but Hank is controlling his posture from full guard.
Hank has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hank is continuing to stall.

Hank keeping moving, preventing Robles from controlling successfully.

Hank pulls Robles in close to his closed guard and prevents Robles from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hank wants to sweep here but Robles controlling him for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hank tries for a takedown but Robles sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Robles could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Robles gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hank to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hank avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Robles is striking from the bottom but Hank uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hank connects with a nice short shot to Robles's temple.
Hank working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Robles is trying to stand.

Hank looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Robles tries to get to full guard but Hank has control of the leg.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hank not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Robles looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Robles wants to improve his position but Hank is controlling well.
Robles is refusing to be controlled, as Hank sits in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Robles is looking to control Hank's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Robles avoid being mounted?

Hank tries to keep at a distance but Robles has taken the fight into the clinch.

Robles turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Hank is looking for a sweep.
Robles is looking to take a break and control but Hank is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hank sneaks out the side door and pushes Robles away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hank looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Robles seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Hank fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Hank feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Robles escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hank gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hank makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hank lands a couple of elbows.

Hank wants to control from the top but Robles keeps moving.
Williams Hank has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hank looking to sit in guard and control but Robles gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Robles trying to control the position from guard on top but Hank is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hank pulls Robles in close to prevent any damage.
Hank looking for a sweep. Not yet Hank, not yet.
Robles wants to control from the top but Hank keeps moving.

Robles not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hank shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hank showed some decent athleticism there.
Hank is just content to waste time from the top position. Robles takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Robles throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hank cracks Robles with a solid left hand.
Hank looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Hank lands a couple of decent looking shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Williams Hank will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Hank shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Robles but Robles pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Robles is looking for a counter combo.

Hank shoots in and bounces Robles off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Robles is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Hank postures up in Robles's guard and throws a big left but Robles blocks it.
Hank trying to control but Robles is working from the bottom.

Hank with a nice head shot there.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Hank. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Robles is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hank defends well.
Hank has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Robles looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hank is one step ahead there.
Hank postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Robles covers up, he's hurt! Hank keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Hank and the ref steps in to end the fight! Hank can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Williams Hank!
