Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shoei Braz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Dahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shoei Braz!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gabriel Dahl!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dahl throws a nice inside leg kick.
Braz walks into a stiff left hand from Dahl.


It looks like Shoei Braz has been cut.
Braz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dahl as he jumps to the side.
Dahl misses with an attempted mid kick.
Braz seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Good leg kick by Dahl there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dahl lands with a hook. Braz tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Braz shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Braz showed some decent athleticism there.

Braz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dahl doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Braz.

Braz is working for a kimura but Dahl is defending it quite comfortably.

Braz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dahl tries to roll over but Braz keeps him under control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Braz content to control rather than advance.

Dahl is defending against the submission attempts here by Braz.

Dahl really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Braz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Braz stands and throws Dahl's legs to the side, diving into side control.

A bone on bone clash there as Braz blocks the leg kick.
Dahl throws out a leg kick but Braz moves out of range and Dahl only half commits.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dahl looking for submissions off his back.
Braz is just content to waste time from the top position. Dahl takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Dahl is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Braz is aware though and is defending well.
Braz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dahl's guard.

Braz is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Dahl still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Dahl has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Braz wants to control but Dahl postures up.

Dahl wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Braz, who protects the arm well.

Braz is trying to control Dahl's posture but Dahl avoids it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Braz sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Dahl is working for a submission of some sort.
Braz moves into full guard.
Dahl preventing the sweep.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Dahl is looking for a triangle here but Braz uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Braz has hold of Dahl's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Dahl seems comfortable defending it but Braz has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Dahl is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Dahl is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Braz couldn't care less - he's delighted!
