Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks comes to the cage accompanied by Lights. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Phil Brooks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matt Jensen! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jensen misses with a two punch combination.
Jensen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. A bone on bone clash there as Brooks blocks the leg kick.
Jensen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brooks drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jensen sprawls and moves away. Sloppy strikes from Jensen. Those never looked like landing. Brooks is looking for a counter combo. Brooks looks for a takedown but Jensen sprawls well. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brooks is defended easily by Jensen. Brooks dodges the punch combination from Jensen.
Brooks closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jensen's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brooks thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Brooks postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jensen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brooks, into his guard. Brooks is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brooks looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jensen passes into side control.
Jensen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brooks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brooks is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Brooks is working hard here to advance position. Jensen stands up and beckons Brooks to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jensen cracks a nice hook into Brooks's ribs. Brooks slips a jab and a cross from Jensen.
Brooks feinted with a counter takedown. Jensen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Brooks drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jensen sprawls and moves away. Brooks gets a double leg takedown into Jensen's guard. Brooks trying to control but Jensen is working from the bottom. Brooks not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Brooks is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jensen trying to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brooks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Brooks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brooks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Brooks postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jensen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brooks, into his guard. Jensen is posturing up here but Brooks has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Jensen tries to roll out but it's too tight and Jensen has to tap! Slick submission there by Brooks!
