The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Dean Styles and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurgan throws a hook to the side of Campion's head but Campion sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Campion throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kurgan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kurgan clobbers Campion with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Gregory Campion has been cut.
Campion takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Campion swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Campion shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kurgan eats them both and turns towards Campion to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Campion slips a straight right by Kurgan.
Kurgan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Campion.
Kurgan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Campion's hands.
Campion ducks under a wild hook from Kurgan.
Kurgan misses with a looping left.
Kurgan throws a body punch but Campion moves out of range.
Campion is looking to counter punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kurgan pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Campion throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kurgan connects with a right hand. Campion shakes it off.
Campion scores with a three punch combo!
Kurgan sends Campion crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kurgan is motioning to the referee to let Campion up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Campion is rocked!
Gregory Campion's cut is getting worse.
Kurgan is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Campion hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). The Kurgan!
The Kurgan made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'There can be only one!'.
