Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johny Utah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tre Spar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spar has chosen Loser: Beck as his entrance music. Johny Utah has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johny Utah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tre Spar! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Utah clinches with his opponent.
Spar is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Utah gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Spar misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Utah.
Spar drops down looking for an ankle pick but Utah pulls his leg out and moves away.
Utah really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Utah throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Spar leaves Utah with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Spar looks like he wants to counter punch here. Utah throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Utah lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Utah tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Utah somewhat. Utah moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromSpar. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Utah darts in looking for a takedown but Spar gets double underhooks and turns Utah into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johny Utah. That's going to take a lot out of him. Utah is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Utah backing away here, and Spar unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Utah with a poor takedown and Spar counters with a right hand that sends Utah tumbling to the canvas! Can Spar finish him? He dives into Utah's guard looking to do just that!

It looks like Johny Utah has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Oh Utah is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Spar trying to control but Utah is working from the bottom. Spar postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Utah is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Spar, into his guard. Utah seems to have got his legs back now. Spar looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Utah has picked Spar up and slammed him! Spar can't keep hold of the triangle and Utah manages to pass to side control! Utah will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Spar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Utah wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Utah decides to stand back up. Utah is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Spar with the counter takedown but Utah avoids it easily. Utah shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Spar defends it nicely. Spar looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Utah clinches up against the cage. Utah drags the fight down to the ground.
Utah keeping full guard, as Spar tries to pass. Spar trying to control the position from guard on top but Utah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Utah escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Spar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Spar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Utah is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Spar stands up from guard. Let's bang! Utah connects with a body shot that sends Spar's belly button to the back. Utah misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Spar shapes to counter with a head kick. No luck with that takedown attempt from Utah. A nice side step and Spar releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Spar shoots in looking for a takedown but Utah manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Utah misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Spar drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Utah defends it well. Utah dives in and grabs Spar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Spar pushes down on Utah's head and hops out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Utah tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Spar defends well and Utah ends up having to push Spar into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Utah changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spar tries to avoid it but Utah manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spar to the ground. Spar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Spar now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Utah is looking to clinch. Spar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Utah explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Utah is defended easily by Spar. Utah moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromSpar. Utah is breathing heavily. Utah shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Spar as he avoids it easily. Spar tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Utah shoots in for a double leg but Spar sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Spar unleashes a big counter combination but Utah bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Utah is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Utah moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromSpar. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tre Spar dominated that round. The cut man is working on Johny Utah's cut. That's time! Utah's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Spar let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Spar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Utah. Utah defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Spar. Utah shoots in for a takedown but Spar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Spar steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Utah. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johny Utah. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spar gets the takedown into side control. We've been hearing good reports from Utah's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Spar tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spar has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Utah has his takedown stuffed and Spar counters with a leg kick. Spar has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Utah fails with the takedown and Spar counters with a big uppercut that knocks Utah off his feet! Spar dives into side control looking to finish! Spar has hold of Utah's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Utah tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Spar cranks the arm and Utah screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Utah, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
