The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merchant feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kaminskis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kaminski lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Merchant.
Kaminski uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Merchant.
Kaminski changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Merchant takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kaminski scores with a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Merchant tries for a takedown but Kaminski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kaminski was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

It looks like Darren Merchant has been cut.
Merchant goes for a double leg but Kaminski avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kaminski continues to drive forward.
Merchant darts in looking for a takedown but Kaminski gets double underhooks and turns Merchant into the cage.
Merchant fails with a takedown attempt.

Merchant takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Merchant rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kaminski counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kaminski lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Merchant at a distance.
Merchant shoots for a double leg takedown but Kaminski sprawls well. He's pushed Merchant's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Merchant shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kaminski as he avoids it easily.
Merchant throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kaminski's waist but Kaminski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Merchant off to one side.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Merchant moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mariusz Kaminski dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Darren Merchant's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kaminski connects with a body shot that sends Merchant's belly button to the back.
Merchant feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Merchant passes Kaminski's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Merchant prevents Kaminski from standing back up.
Kaminski tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Merchant manages to move to mount!
Kaminski stops Merchant from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Kaminski is trying to stand but he's just given Merchant his back.
Merchant sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Kaminski taps out!

A relieved looking Darren Merchant thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
