Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danyalez Selby!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merrill has Selby up against the cage in a clinch.
Merrill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Merrill could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Selby tries to keep at a distance but Merrill has taken the fight into the clinch.
Merrill misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Merrill pulls guard effortlessly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Merrill not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Merrill has his hands on Selby's head, controlling the position.
Selby thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Merrill is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Merrill working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Selby doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Selby manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Selby seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Merrill has his foot on Selby's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Selby works his way back into a safe position though.

Merrill is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Selby sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Merrill's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Merrill is trying to get back to full guard.
Still in half guard, Selby seems content to control.
Selby wants to take a breather but Merrill is having none of it.
Merrill is trying to maintain the position but Selby is very close to passing his half guard.
Merrill moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Selby slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Merrill tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Merrill defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Selby.
Merrill tries to improve his position but Selby has taken his back! Selby has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Merrill tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Selby pushes Merrill away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
