Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zaza Murano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlinhos Valente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zaza Murano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlinhos Valente!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murano shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Valente counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Valente with a hook.
Murano definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Nice jab there from Valente.

Valente closes the distance and clinches.

Valente breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Murano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Valente tries to avoid it but Murano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Valente to the ground. Valente escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Valente scores with a kick to the midsection.
Valente throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Murano.
Murano tries to clinch but Valente moves away
and Valente counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A combination from Valente does no damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Murano stuffs the takedown.
Murano is looking to counter the offense by Valente and move into the clinch.
Murano tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Valente paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A solid leg kick lands there for Valente.
Valente fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Murano chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Valente can pounce on him.
Valente works Murano's body with a nice hook.
Murano is breathing heavily.
Valente shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Murano sprawls well. Murano wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Valente gets slowly back to his feet.
Valente throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Valente scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Murano doesn't seem bothered though.
Murano tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Valente defends well and Murano ends up having to push Valente into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zaza Murano. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That kick from Valente tenderised Murano's leg. Murano is trying to keep his angry face on.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Murano on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Valente chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Valente takes the fight into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Murano is trying to break the clinch but Valente is controlling him.
A nice right hand lands inside from Valente.
The referee is keeping an eye on Valente - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Murano drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Valente lands a nice shot to the body.

Valente manages to break the clinch.
Valente bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Murano's head.
Murano takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Murano really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Valente lands with an overhand left.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Murano blocks a head kick by Valente.
Valente lands a lovely overhand right.


Murano is rocked!
Valente lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Oh Murano is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice body punch from Valente.
Murano tries for a takedown but Valente circles away easily

and Valente counters with a left hand that sends Murano to the canvas!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Murano is trying to hold Valente in close to prevent damage but Valente has managed to pass into half guard.
Valente stalling.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Valente thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Valente throwing shots but Murano is blocking nicely.
Valente is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Valente lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Murano quite badly. Murano pulls Valente in close trying to recover. Valente postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Murano on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Murano doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carlinhos Valente!
A less than humble Carlinhos Valente misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
