Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

33 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juancho Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walter fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rivera to the ground. Walter is now in Rivera's guard.
Walter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Walter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Rivera pulls Walter in to control the position.
Walter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rivera swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rivera leaves Walter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Juancho Rivera is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A close round but Juancho Rivera will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Walter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rivera's waist but Rivera gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walter off to one side.
Walter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Walter lands in his opponent's guard.
Walter wants to control from the top but Rivera keeps moving.

Walter is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rivera doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Walter.

Walter throws an elbow that misses. Rivera uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Walter's guard. Nice move by Rivera!

It seemed like Rivera was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Rivera misses the shot to the body.
Rivera throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Walter stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rivera.
Rivera is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Rivera gets caught napping as Walter dives in and scores a takedown. Rivera manages to retain guard.
Walter is looking to work some ground and pound but Rivera has wrist control.
Walter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Peter Walter.
I think Walter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
