Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Junior Bowers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lars Mcgregor! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Bowers as Mcgregor shoots in. It appears Bowers was looking to counter with a kick there. Mcgregor misses with a takedown and Bowers counters with a series of strikes. Mcgregor will be more careful next time no doubt. A nice combination there by Mcgregor.
Mcgregor fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bowers avoids it really well and circles away. Bowers appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Junior Bowers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lars Mcgregor. Mcgregor doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bowers counters with a thumping low kick. Mcgregor drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Bowers trying to control the position.
Bowers is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Bowers can't keep his opponent in guard - Mcgregor advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bowers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mcgregor seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bowers actively working from the bottom here. Bowers throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Bowers looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Mcgregor is thwarting Bowers's attempts to control the position. Mcgregor takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Mcgregor looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bowers with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Bowers on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Mcgregor trying to mount his opponent but Bowers defends it. Mcgregor blocks the strikes from Bowers.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bowers wants to control but Mcgregor is keeping busy and won't allow it. Mcgregor seems to be working for a kimura but Bowers defends the submission attempt. Mcgregor wants to work for an arm triangle but Bowers is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Mcgregor looks winded! Bowers actively working from the bottom here. Mcgregor is trying to control the action in half guard but Bowers is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Bowers trying to control here.

Bowers is rocked! Mcgregor looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Oh Bowers is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mcgregor is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Bowers is hurt! He's hurt bad - Mcgregor fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Bowers from any more punishment! Congratulations to Mcgregor! Great finish!
