Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between George Ciz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Picard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jean Picard will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Ciz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Picard! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Picard just misses with a punch to the body.
Picard jabs Ciz right on the nose. Ciz blinks but takes it well. Picard jabbing away but nothing is landing. Picard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ciz changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Ciz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ciz seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Picard misses with a wild combination.

Picard tries to sprawl but Ciz drives through with a takedown into half guard. Picard is in trouble now - Ciz has advanced to mount! Ciz controlling from the full mount. Ciz in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Picard is working to get back to half guard.
Picard is squirming around, avoiding Ciz's attempts to control the action. Ciz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ciz is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Picard is surviving well by controlling Ciz's body position as best he can. Picard reaches up to try and control the position but Ciz seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Picard rolls and tries to escape and now Ciz has his back!
Ciz is punishing Picard with some ground and pound. Ciz controls the action. Picard is trying to break free.
Even with his hooks in, Ciz manages to miss with strikes from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Picard's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Ciz lands a shot to the body. Ciz is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Picard defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Picard is trying to break free.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ciz has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Picard. Ciz missing with punches from the back. Ciz is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Picard has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Picard trying to control but not successfully. Ciz is persistently looking for the submission but Picard is defending it well.

Good control from Ciz. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Picard is in bad spot here.
Ciz missing with punches from the back. Picard fending off the submission attempt from Ciz. Picard turns into Ciz and is now in his guard.
Picard drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ciz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Picard has Ciz in his guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Ciz dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Picard throws a series of punches but Ciz avoids them all with ease. Picard throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ciz counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ciz is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Ciz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ciz wants to control from the top but Picard keeps moving. Picard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ciz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ciz wants to control from the top but Picard keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Ciz throws a big elbow that misses. George Ciz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Picard keeping moving, preventing Ciz from controlling successfully.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jean Picard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ciz tries to move into range but Picard moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Jean Picard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ciz shoots in but no luck this time. Sloppy strikes from Ciz. Those never looked like landing. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Picard! But no joy. No joy there for Picard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ciz throws a big counter combination but Picard scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Picard throws a lazy uppercut
and Ciz counters by moving into the clinch. Ciz has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Picard is trying to keep an underhook but Ciz manages to get the takedown into half guard. Picard actively working from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ciz is nestled in close to Picard, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Ciz is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Picard has managed to free his arm - good work. Picard tries to roll over but Ciz keeps him under control. Picard has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Ciz escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Ciz! Ciz throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Ciz cracks Picard with a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ciz looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Picard is avoiding damage well.
The ground and pound from Ciz seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Picard sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Ciz seems to be looking for submissions.
Ciz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Picard can do to turn this around? Picard trying to control but Ciz postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ciz trying to control from half guard but Picard is working away. Ciz prevents Picard from improving his position. Picard looking for submissions off his back. Picard is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ciz sitting and controlling from the half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ciz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ciz slips a jab from Picard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Ciz dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Ciz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Ciz slips a jab and a cross from Picard.
Ciz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Picard misses with a series of wild punches.

and Ciz counters with a single leg into guard. Picard didn't expect that. Ciz advances position into side control! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ciz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ciz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ciz works to advance to full mount. Picard defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Picard looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ciz has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Picard's face.
Picard wants to hold on but Ciz pushes him away. Ciz with a couple of short strikes. Ciz wants to control the pace but Picard is squirming around nicely. Ciz landing strikes, looking to finish! Ciz looking to finish Picard with some ground and pound. This is bad for Picard! Ciz prevents Picard from getting the reversal. Jean Picard has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Picard takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Picard is desperately trying to improve his position but Ciz has a good base and remains in mount. Ciz breaks from Picard's wrist control and lands an elbow. Ciz lands a couple of good shots and Picard has given up his back, trying to escape the position! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Picard tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Ciz controlling the pace for now. Picard has left one of his arms exposed and Ciz doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Picard screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
