Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Abramson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edsel Jorge!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Abramson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Abramson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jorge gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Abramson feints and as Jorge raises his hands in defense, Abramson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Abramson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Abramson is working for a kimura but Jorge is defending it quite comfortably.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jorge can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jorge is trying to control but can't.
Jorge moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Abramson is looking to work some ground and pound but Jorge has wrist control.

Abramson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jorge quickly recovers to half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And Jorge responds with a good body kick, but Abramson manages to step out the way in time.

Abramson shoots in looking for a takedown but Jorge manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Abramson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jorge will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Abramson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jorge is working away from the top position though.

Jorge passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Abramson!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jorge cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jorge is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Abramson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Edsel Jorge showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Edsel Jorge comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jorge has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Edsel Jorge opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
