PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Worker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tadeusz Rydzyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rydzyk has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tadeusz Rydzyk!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rydzyk closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Worker tries to score a body lock takedown but Rydzyk shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Worker tries to circle away but Rydzyk has him pinned against the ropes.
Worker can't get the takedown.
Worker tries to pull guard but Rydzyk holds him up against the ropes and eventually Worker drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Worker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Worker jumps guard but Rydzyk turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.
A frustrated look appears on Worker's face as he tries to break the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Worker jumps guard but Rydzyk stands there with Worker around his waist. Worker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Worker is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.

Worker goes for a takedown attempt but Rydzyk pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Worker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rydzyk pinned against the ropes. Rydzyk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Worker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rydzyk is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Worker throws a left and a right that both miss

and Rydzyk counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rydzyk.

Worker wants to break the clinch but can't.
Worker has Rydzyk pressed against the ropes.

Rydzyk is trying to break the clinch but Worker is controlling him.
Rydzyk displaying some good clinch control by pressing Worker up against the ropes.
Worker tries to pull guard but Rydzyk forces him back to his feet, against the ropes.
Worker tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rydzyk keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Worker's efforts to push away.
Worker has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tadeusz Rydzyk dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Worker swings widly with a right hand
and Rydzyk counters with a two punch combo.
Tim Worker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Worker dives in and grabs Rydzyk's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rydzyk pushes down on Worker's head and hops out.
Worker misses with a right hand
and Rydzyk counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Worker is looking to clinch but Rydzyk is avoiding it.
Rydzyk throws a wild body kick that Worker sees coming a mile off.
Rydzyk dodges the punch combination from Worker.
Worker blocks a head kick by Rydzyk.
A head kick misses from Rydzyk.

Worker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rydzyk as he avoids it easily.
Rydzyk swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Worker shoots for a takedown but Rydzyk saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Rydzyk misses with a body kick.
Some wild striking there from Rydzyk.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Worker tries to clinch but Rydzyk is having none of it.
Worker sets himself, and Rydzyk steps forward looking for the clinch! Worker avoids it this time.
We've been informed that Rydzyk has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Tadeusz Rydzyk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rydzyk stuffs the takedown.
Rydzyk throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Worker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Rydzyk counters by moving into the clinch.
Worker has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rydzyk after a bit of a struggle.
Worker has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rydzyk is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rydzyk is trying to push Worker away but Worker has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Rydzyk landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Worker is trying to pull guard but Rydzyk has him pressed against the ropes.

Rydzyk is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Rydzyk wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Worker has him pressed against the ropes.
Rydzyk wants to get back to striking at distance but Worker won't allow it.

Rydzyk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Worker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Worker moves out of range as Rydzyk throws a body kick.
Tim Worker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rydzyk tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tadeusz Rydzyk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rydzyk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
