Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kid Diddler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Baroni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baroni has chosen Beastie Boys- Fight for your right as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Joe Baroni was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kid Diddler! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Baroni! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baroni throws a body kick that misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Diddler. Baroni does a little dance to reset his feet. Baroni with a nice cross. Diddler is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Baroni throws a nice looking combination but Diddler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Diddler went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Sloppy strikes from Baroni. Those never looked like landing. Diddler scores with a hook to the body. Baroni takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Diddler throws a shot from downtown. Baroni moves away and avoids it. Good standup being displayed there by Diddler as he connects with a hook. A swing and a miss from Baroni. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baroni gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Baroni has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Baroni wants to stand but Diddler is controlling the position. Baroni told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diddler trying to control the position from guard on top but Baroni is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Baroni wants to stand but Diddler is controlling the position. Diddler tries to free his leg and advance position but Baroni is retaining full guard. Diddler works over Baroni with some ground and pound from guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diddler passes Baroni's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Diddler throwing shots but Baroni is blocking nicely. Diddler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Diddler wants to control but Baroni is keeping him busy. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Diddler connects with a nice short shot to Baroni's temple. Diddler is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Baroni is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kid Diddler! Kid Diddler retains his featherweight title!
