Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Albert Fish!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Bob!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Bob finds it's target.


It looks like Albert Fish has been cut.
Bob throws a shot from downtown. Fish moves away and avoids it.
Fish uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bob.
Fish uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bob.
An attempted straight right counter from Fish misses the target.
Fish dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bob. That did some damage!

Bob lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Bob tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fish was well out of range. Poor timing from Bob.

Bob has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Oh Fish is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Fish cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bob throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fish.

Fish is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Fish uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bob.
Fish half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
No joy there for Bob, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fish uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bob.

Bob tries to keep at a distance but Fish has taken the fight into the clinch.
Fish doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Fish misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Fish lands a left hand.

Fish breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fish with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Bob misses with an uppercut. Fish saw that one coming.
Bob lands a jab to the head.
Fish clobbers Bob with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fish moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bob missing with a left hand there. Fish was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bob throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Fish counters with a stiff right hand.
Bob throws an overhand right that lands on Fish's shoulder, as Fish tries to avoid the shot.
Fish displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bob throws out the jab.
Bob misses with a jab to the body
and Fish counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fish really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bob throws a nice looking combination but Fish bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
It looked like Fish wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Bob swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

and Fish counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fish slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bob can't do much from the bottom here.
Bob is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Albert Fish will probably get the nod.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Fish here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Bob had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fish defends it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bob escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fish gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fish passes Bob's left leg - he's now in half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fish is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bob is just riding it out for now. Fish eventually gives up the hold.

Bob bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Fish is looking to take a break and control but Bob is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Fish seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Fish is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bob can do to turn this around?

Bob walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fish is pressed up against the cage. Bob has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fish down to the mat. Fish avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Billy Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bob takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and Fish connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fish scores with the left hand. Bob knows he should have avoided that one.
Bob has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Fish comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Fish's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bob connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fish scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bob gets tackled into the cage by Fish. Fish maintains the clinch.
Fish lands with a left to the head.
Bob is trying to break free.
Bob wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Fish lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bob backwards.
Bob blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Billy Bob has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bob's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fish takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Fish connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bob. Bob circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bob might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Well Fish has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
