Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Kimba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Zaurbek Tabolov! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kimba drives through with a takedown into Tabolov's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Tabolov is adopting a defensive guard. Kimba throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kimba throwing strikes from guard but Tabolov blocks nicely. Tabolov is pulling down on Kimba's head to control his posture. Kimba postures up in Tabolov's guard and throws a big left but Tabolov blocks it. Kimba trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kimba drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tabolov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kimba has Tabolov in his guard. Tabolov working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kimba has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Tabolov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kimba has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tabolov has managed to get both his arms back between Kimba's legs - danger averted. Tabolov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Tabolov lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Tabolov postures up and lands a big shot to Kimba's brow.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Oh Kimba is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Tabolov scoring with punches to the head and body. Tabolov throws a big right hand that misses. Kimba seems to have got his legs back now. Tabolov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kimba works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Kimba is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Tabolov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kimba is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Tabolov is working Kimba over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Tabolov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. That's four minutes gone in the round. Tabolov gets to his feet and stands over Kimba, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Kimba felt that one! Tabolov unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Kimba from any more punishment!
