Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Boris Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bolin Jang!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jang connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Thomas scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Boris Thomas has been cut.
A jab from Jang misses.
Jang clinches up against the cage.
Thomas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Thomas closes the distance and clinches up with Jang, looking for a takedown. Thomas pushes Jang against the cage but Jang circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thomas gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jang to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Thomas is rocked!
Jang gets to his feet and stands over Thomas, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Thomas felt that one! Jang unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Thomas from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bolin Jang!
