PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Charles LeBracket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Badger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Badger!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Despite the aggression on Badger's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Badger takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Badger throws a combination. LeBracket tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
LeBracket swats away the attempt to clinch by Badger.
A quick step to the side and LeBracket tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Badger's coach down at Quick Fingers BEST BANG FOR BUCK Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Badger's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

LeBracket is looking to wear down Badger with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Jack Badger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Badger tries to close the distance and clinch up but LeBracket swats him away and circles back towards the center.

LeBracket fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Badger looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Badger shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. LeBracket is trying to defend but Badger finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

LeBracket has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Badger is on him like a limpet, forcing LeBracket back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

LeBracket breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Badger closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming LeBracket to the mat! LeBracket manages to get full guard.
Badger throws a strike but LeBracket rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Badger can do anything to dispel that myth.
Badger is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst LeBracket is controlling him.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Badger thows a huge punch but LeBracket dodges it nicely.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Badger is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Badger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close second round but I would say that Charles LeBracket will probably get the nod.
